Wattage Watch - Peterbrough again...

This from Ricketrescuer...

Not just the platform lights at Peterborough.

These worksite lights are merrily burning away in a wintery sun.

Wattage Watch - Peterbrorough

This from Oliver Cromwell...

All lights on Platform 3 at Peterborough station seem to be left on 24 hours a day.

The sun was so bright at 9' this morning that it's hard to tell, but even the one above this sign was on!

Wattage Watch - Reading

This from Rover...

The new canopy at Reading is so high the lights make no difference in daylight.

But even on the temporarily uncovered platforms, makeshift lights have been installed that burn the watts all day:

Switching off that lot during daylight hours should provide one or two immediate savings for CP5.

You're welcome!

Wattage Watch - Paddington

This, perhaps surprisingly, from I.K.Brunel...

When departing my fine terminus on the hottest day of the year, in the mid afternoon sun, I noted that the station management seem to be unable to turn the platform lights off!

Is this worthy of Eye's attention?

Yes indeed Mr Brunel!

Time for an exciting new Eye feature...

Eye gives you Wattage Watch!

Piccies please of the railway unnecessarily running up utility bills.
