Fred Sullivan, and his fellow top link men from Manchester's '9A' Longsight depot (supported by Ian Mead & Dave Massey) are swapping their air-condtioned high speed Bendydildo cabs for the hard, cold, pile enducing, cast iron seat of a cabless 1955 Massey
Ferguson tractor, with a top speed of just 15 mph.
The 9A team plan to drive the
tractor from John O'Groats to Lands End starting at 09:00 on 10th Sept
2012.
The 985 mile journey will take 14 days and is in aid of the Young
Oncology unit at Christies hospital in South Manchester, where Fred's 19
year old boy, Aaron, is being treated for Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
