The sign on the post reads:
"This is a Pay & Display
Car Park [actually it's been converted into a taxi rank, but let's not
quibble] BR Car Park at rear".
Nice to see that on the the eve of Network Rail HQ's arrival at Milton Keynes, BR still lives on!
UPDATE: This from Al Green...
The sign is indeed wrong, but so is the Railway Eye caption.
The sign
faces what is now the kiss & drop short term parking area.
The taxi
rank - which curiously the sign used to face - has been moved to the
other side of the square, as can be seen in the photo.
